About these Terms
These Terms govern access to and use of Revela, a privacy-information service operated by EverseTech. By creating an account or expressly accepting these Terms, you enter into an electronic agreement with EverseTech. The checkout or acceptance screen will give you an opportunity to review, accept or decline the agreement and correct errors before acceptance. A retainable copy will be provided or made available to you.
If you do not agree, do not create an account, connect a mailbox, start a paid service or use a restricted Revela feature.
What Revela provides
Revela may provide public privacy information, mailbox-based discovery of possible company accounts, privacy scores, summaries of public privacy policies and terms, suggested privacy actions, dashboards, inferred personal-information data-flow maps, privacy training and conversational assistance.
Mailbox scans are user initiated and bounded. A scan may cover one, three or five years, or capped available history, and is limited to 25,000 messages per mailbox unless a different limit is clearly displayed before the scan.
Revela is an educational and organizational tool. It is not a law firm, legal opinion, regulatory certification, credit score, cybersecurity guarantee or authoritative record of accounts held with third parties.
Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate registration information, protect your credentials and promptly notify support@eversetech.com if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
You may connect only a mailbox that you own or are expressly authorized to connect. You must not use Revela to inspect another person's mailbox or personal data without lawful authority. You acknowledge and agree that EverseTech is entitled to rely on your representations and warranties regarding such authority. Any unauthorized connection, access or use of a mailbox or personal data shall be solely your responsibility, and you shall bear all resulting liability, losses, claims, damages, fines, penalties and expenses arising therefrom. To the fullest extent permitted by law, EverseTech shall not be liable for any unauthorized access to or use of a mailbox facilitated by your breach of this clause.
You must be at least eighteen (18) years old to register for, access or use Revela. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age.
Mailbox permissions and scan results
Before connection, Revela will identify the mailbox provider and the permission requested. The current Gmail design requests metadata access for selected headers and related message metadata; it does not request message bodies or attachments.
Mailbox evidence can indicate only a possible account or relationship. You must confirm or reject discoveries. EverseTech does not guarantee that every discovery is correct, current or complete. To the fullest extent permitted by law, EverseTech shall not be liable for any loss, damage, claim, liability, cost or expense arising from or relating to your reliance on, use of, interpretation of, or failure to verify any discovery, result or output generated by Revela. You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless EverseTech, its affiliates, officers, employees and agents from and against any claims, actions, demands, losses, damages, liabilities, fines, penalties, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your reliance upon, disclosure of, use of, or actions taken based on any discovery, result or output generated by Revela without appropriate independent verification, or your misuse of the Services in connection with such discoveries.
Classification occurs transiently. After classification, Revela retains derived discoveries and limited redacted or cryptographic evidence needed to explain them, according to the Privacy Policy. Raw mailbox messages and attachments are not Revela database records.
You can disconnect a mailbox. Disconnecting stops new Revela processing for that connection. Revela will make a best-effort provider revocation request where supported and then erase its stored mailbox credential even if provider revocation fails.
Certain Revela features may be designated as beta, pilot, preview or test features. Such features may contain errors, interruptions, inaccuracies or incomplete functionality and may be modified or withdrawn at any time without notice. Users access beta features at their own discretion and acknowledge that beta features may not be suitable for production, legal, regulatory or business-critical use.
Revela may use artificial intelligence models and automated systems to generate summaries, classifications, recommendations, privacy assessments, scores and conversational responses. AI-generated outputs are probabilistic in nature and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or inappropriate for a particular purpose. Users remain solely responsible for independently evaluating AI-generated outputs before relying on them for legal, regulatory, commercial or personal decisions. This will be particularly important if investors, lawyers or consumers rely on the recommendations.
Privacy scores, summaries, maps and AI assistance
Scores are explainable indicators based on the rubric, evidence and coverage available to Revela. Company scores do not determine legal compliance and personal scores do not measure a person's worth, creditworthiness or eligibility for a service.
Policy and terms summaries may be generated with artificial intelligence from public sources. They can omit nuance or contain errors. The original source controls, and users should review it before making an important decision.
PII data-flow maps are inferences from disclosed policies and mailbox evidence. They do not claim to reveal or verify a company's internal systems.
Conversational answers are general information, not professional legal, financial, cybersecurity or regulatory advice. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for a high-impact decision.
Revela may process personal data using service providers, cloud infrastructure providers, artificial intelligence providers and other authorised processors located in Kenya and other jurisdictions. Where personal data is transferred outside Kenya, EverseTech shall implement appropriate safeguards required under applicable data protection laws, including the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 and any applicable regulations governing cross-border transfers. By using Revela, the user acknowledges that personal data may be processed in multiple jurisdictions solely for purposes of providing, securing, maintaining and improving the service.
No electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users acknowledge that use of internet-based services involves inherent security risks and EverseTech does not warrant that Revela will be immune from all security incidents, cyber-attacks or service interruptions.
Privacy and optional aggregated insights
EverseTech processes personal data as described in the applicable Privacy Policy. Acceptance of these Terms is not consent to optional commercial analytics.
Any use of a user's information to contribute to commercial insights for enterprise customers or marketers requires a separate, specific and unticked opt-in. Only irreversibly aggregated statistics may be supplied under that program. Withdrawal applies to future processing as explained at the point of consent and in the Privacy Policy.
EverseTech shall not be liable for any processing, disclosure or use of personal data that is undertaken at the user's direction, authorized by the user, required by law, or otherwise permitted under these Terms, the Privacy Policy or applicable law.
Privacy questions and requests may be sent to privacy@eversetech.com.
Plans, prices and recurring payments
Prices are displayed in Kenyan shillings before purchase. The first paid offering may cover an initial scan of one mailbox. A recurring monthly subscription may unlock additional scans, chat, dashboards, personal and company scores, inferred maps and training. Enterprise services require a separate quote and agreement.
By starting a recurring plan, you authorize the disclosed monthly charge using the selected payment method until cancellation, payment failure or termination. M-Pesa renewals may require a fresh STK authorization. When STK is unavailable, Revela may provide Paybill instructions with a unique payment reference. Access is activated only after payment is verified.
Displayed prices will state whether VAT is included or added. EverseTech will issue the required receipt or electronic tax invoice through its approved invoicing process.
Cancellation, corrections and refunds
You may cancel a subscription through the account interface or by contacting support@eversetech.com. Cancellation stops future renewal and does not remove access already paid for until the displayed end of the billing period, unless the service states otherwise or the law requires another outcome.
EverseTech does not offer discretionary change-of-mind refunds. This does not limit rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. EverseTech will process duplicate-charge reversals, failed-service corrections, valid chargebacks, provider-mandated remedies and refunds or cancellation remedies required by applicable law.
Before payment, Revela will show the service, price, billing frequency, renewal behavior, cancellation method and material limitations. A copy or receipt will be made available after purchase.
Acceptable use
You must not use Revela to:
access a mailbox, account or personal data without authorization;
break the law or infringe another person's privacy, confidentiality or intellectual-property rights;
probe, disrupt, overload, bypass or reverse engineer security or service controls except where applicable law expressly permits it;
upload malicious code, automate abusive requests or interfere with another user;
misrepresent Revela output as a legal certification, verified company record or guaranteed compliance finding;
or resell, scrape or commercially exploit Revela or its output unless EverseTech has agreed in writing.
EverseTech may reasonably limit or suspend abusive activity to protect users, providers and the service.
Third-party services
Revela depends on services such as Google, cloud hosting, payment providers and an AI provider. Their services and separate terms may apply to your direct relationship with them. EverseTech is responsible for selecting and managing its processors as required by applicable data-protection law, but cannot control an independent third party's systems or availability.
Links to company privacy choices or external sites are provided for convenience. EverseTech does not endorse or control their content.
Intellectual property and user rights
EverseTech and its licensors retain rights in Revela's software, branding, original content and scoring methodology. Subject to these Terms, EverseTech grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use Revela for its intended purpose.
You retain rights in your personal data. You give EverseTech only the limited authority needed to process information to provide, secure and improve the service in accordance with the Privacy Policy and your separate choices.
Availability and changes
Revela may change during the beta. EverseTech may maintain, repair, secure or modify the service and may discontinue a feature. Where a material change adversely affects a paid service, EverseTech will provide reasonable notice and any remedy required by law.
EverseTech does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, but this does not exclude obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Suspension, termination and deletion
You may stop using Revela, disconnect mailboxes and request account deletion using available controls or the support/privacy contacts.
EverseTech may suspend or terminate access for material breach, fraud, unlawful use, security risk or non-payment, using proportionate measures and notice where reasonably possible. Termination does not erase payment, audit or compliance records that EverseTech must lawfully retain.
Responsibility and legal limits
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Revela is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. EverseTech does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, complete, secure or suitable for any particular purpose. Users are solely responsible for evaluating, verifying and relying upon any information, insights, discoveries, recommendations or outputs generated through the Services.
EverseTech's aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Services, whether in contract, tort, negligence, statutory duty or otherwise, shall not exceed the total fees paid by the user to EverseTech during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim or, where no fees have been paid, USD 100.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, EverseTech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, anticipated savings, goodwill, opportunity, contracts, data, reputation or business interruption, whether foreseeable or not and regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based.
Users acknowledge that any information, evidence, discoveries, relationship indicators or analytical outputs generated by Revela are probabilistic in nature and may be incomplete, inaccurate or outdated. Users assume all risks associated with the use of, reliance upon or actions taken based on such outputs.
Electronic notices and changes to these Terms
You agree that EverseTech may provide service notices, receipts and contractual information electronically through Revela or the email associated with your account. Keep that address current.
EverseTech may update these Terms. Material changes will be identified with a new version and effective date and communicated before they take effect. Where required, continued access will require fresh acceptance; optional consent will never be inferred from acceptance of updated Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its intended purpose as closely as possible. If such modification is not possible, the provision shall be deemed severed from these Terms. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect and shall not be affected by the invalidity, illegality or unenforceability of the severed provision.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms and any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or in connection with them, their subject matter, formation, validity, interpretation, performance or termination shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Kenya.
The Parties shall use good faith efforts to resolve amicably any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms, including any question regarding their existence, validity, interpretation, performance or termination.
A Party claiming that a dispute has arisen shall give written notice to the other Party setting out the nature and particulars of the dispute. Upon receipt of such notice, the Parties shall engage in good faith negotiations for a period of fourteen (14) days in an attempt to resolve the dispute.
If the dispute is not resolved through negotiation within fourteen (14) days of the notice, either Party may refer the dispute to mediation. The mediation shall be conducted in Nairobi, Kenya, by a mutually agreed mediator. If the Parties are unable to agree on a mediator within fourteen (14) days of the referral to mediation, either Party may request the Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Kenya Branch) to appoint a mediator.
The Parties shall participate in the mediation in good faith and shall seek to resolve the dispute within fourteen (14) days following the appointment of the mediator, or such longer period as may be agreed in writing.
Before filing a claim, users are to contact support@eversetech.com . Privacy concerns may be sent to privacy@eversetech.com, and users retain the right to complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner where applicable.
